Currently Loving 04

L'amour Josie Currently Loving

It's been a while since I rounded up the products that I've been loving lately, but surprise surprise, there's a lot of MAC. I'd fallen out of love with the brand for a long time, but recently I've found some old and new loves. I've lost a little bit of my motivation to experiment with makeup recently - I've been going for an easy, time saving look - and these are the products which have really impressed me, and I've been enjoying  using to speed things up.

Base wise I've been keeping it simple. My new favourite pairing is MAC Studio Fix Fluid which I actually didn't like previously, along with Fix +. I've raved about the latter already here, but it's the perfect product to soften up a foundation as full coverage as Studio Fix - they form a flawless combination. The final MAC product which has been helping me to perfect my base is the MAC 138 Tapered Face Brush. I deliberated over buying this brush for a long time (the price tag is an extortionate £39), but I'm so glad that I did. The 138 is now the only brush that I use for my bronzer, blusher, highlight and powder. Expect a full review soon, but it's definitely a favourite addition to my collection.

Alongside a simple base, I've been really enjoying making the most of my eyes. With an early start at work I don't usually have the time for anything fancy, so a coating of mascara and quick flick of liner are perfect for me. The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers are another investment which I wish I'd made earlier. My lashes look instantly fuller after use, and my curl holds all day. Finally, I've been finishing my easy peasy face off with my Stila Stay All Day Liner, which I reviewed here. My pen is still going strong and I love how easy it is to use for a polished look.

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away in to the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we still are
Call me by my own familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again.
