Autumn is well and truly here. The fire is lit, it's dark by 6.30pm and leaves have turned that gorgeous crisp brown shade and fallen to the ground. With the recent cold snap, I've fallen in to an evening routine that goes a little something like this...
I purchased the Mandarin Cranberry Yankee Candle a couple of weeks ago, and it's perfect for this time of year. I love the smell of oranges and this candle fills the room with that scent, so it was always going to be a winner. It's a double wick candle which feels like it'll burn forever as it's huge. If I'm not lying in bed reading on my kindle (I've been hooked on Philippa Gregory books lately) I've been using up the last of my Philosophy Christmas Cookie bubble bath. Yes, it's a little too festively titled for October, but it smells delicious and there's nothing like a nice hot bubble bath to warm you up - there's a full review of this coming a little closer to Christmas. Whilst I'm in the bath I like to use Philip Kinsley's Elasticizer on my hair (review here).
Taking my makeup off is one of my favourite things to do of an evening, and I like to follow that up with the Origins Drink Up Mask (review here). This smells amazing, and leaves my face feelings soft and smooth, countering a day's worth of central heating. Whilst I wait for this mask to do its thang it's nail painting time. Nails Inc Savile Row and Chanel Frenzy are my favourite Autumn shades. One of the two has been on my nails constantly all month. Once my nails have dried and I've completed the rest of my skin care routine, I've been layering on the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair II. I reviewed this earlier in the week, I know I'm ready for bed once I apply this.
Now it's autumn I start getting obsessed with Yankee candles at the moment i'm switching between "Be Thankful" which smells really sweet and cinnamony and "white christmas" which smells like a christmas trees... I know it's early for that one but it just makes the room smell so cosy! x
