Bath & Body Works | Market Peach Candle

18 September 2013

First up, yes, if you want to purchase this candle, you'll need to get yourself on ebay and snap one up (there are plenty, I checked). However, this candle was too nice to not mention on my blog, so here we go.

I purchased Market Peach back in May, and it felt a little strange to be buying a candle in one of the hottest, brightest places I've ever been to (Las Vegas, in case you missed be banging on about it the first hundred times). However, I'd heard good things about it and it smelt beautiful in the jar, so in to my suitcase it went. This candle spent a few months looking pretty on the side, however about a month ago I decided it was finally time to start burning.

I have been rationing this, as I really don't want to run out before I'm back in Vegas, but I have to say it's one of the nicest candles I've burnt. Whilst the smell is quite artificial and sharp in the jar, once lit it definitely softens, and fills the whole room with a gorgeous creamy peach scent.  I can't smell anything else, it's purely peaches. I've been impressed with how cleanly this has burnt - the jar is looking nice, and there are no marks on my white walls. It seems to be lasting for a fair time too.

Whilst I'm no candle expert, this is a really nice option to light now that the Autumn evenings are rolling in. I think I paid $12.50 for this, which works out at around £7 - I'd really struggle to get a good quality candle for that price here in the UK. What are you burning this season? I've got my eye on Pumpkin Cupcake and the infamous Leaves next...

  7. I have exactly this one, in the Mason Jar! Make sure you regularly trim the wick, otherwise the top of the jar will go black from on all carbon- not a good look!
