August Favourites

1 September 2013

So ladies and gents, it's that time of the month again. Our news feeds are full to bursting with monthly favourites posts, and I love it. I've felt a little uninspired this month - I've been stuck in a beauty rut, but I've rounded up the products which have faithfully taken me through the month.

I've had most of the varieties of Baby Lips since my beauty swap in February, and initially I wasn't that impressed by the tinted varieties. There's a lot of hype around Baby Lips and I don't think they're as great as they're made out to be, however, I really like this clear version. My lips feel beautifully hydrated after using, and it's so easy to apply being in bullet form. I took a tube of this to Vegas with me as it contains SPF and my lips stayed burn free. Whilst out in the US I purchased this back up, and I'm happy that it's now available to purchase at Boots!

I raved about this Clarins Body Lotion in Friday's post, so I'll keep it short and sweet. This is a pricey product, but it's also the best body moisturiser I've tried, and smells like an absolute dream. I'll be top to toe covering myself in this throughout the inevitable freezing winter.

I purchased two Fragrance Mists from Victoria's Secret when in Vegas (endless love, and forever pink), and I absolutely adore both scents. I keep one in my car and one on my dressing table, and they're so handy. If I've forgotten to apply perfume in the morning then I'll just spritz myself before work, or spray my linen to make going to bed a more comfortable experience. They're long lasting, beautifully fresh floral scents, and priced so reasonably in dollars. I can't wait to visit a VS store in the UK and pick up a few more!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair II is the latest addition to my skin care lineup. This infamous serum was recently reformulated, and once Caroline Hirons gave it the seal of approval I had to give it a go. So far I'm really impressed - this is helping to to keep my skin more even and balanced, and is definitely helping to heal any blemishes. I'm sure I'll review this once I've had longer to test it out.

I declared Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua to be one of my top three high end foundations, and I stand by it. After not using this for the last six months, it was refreshing to bring this back in to my routine. It's a great colour match for me, which leaves my skin looking fresh and clear. If you like a light, healthy base, give this a go.

Feel free to share your favourites with me in the comments below!

  2. Lovely favourites. I have Endless Love and it's so nice but I don't have much left now! I got it from Amsterdam as there isn't a VS store near me. There were rumours Newcastle will be getting one but I'm not sure, really hope we do though as I will be buying all of the body mists! Haha xx

  6. I NEED to buy the Estee Lauder serum, I always put it off but i've never seen a bad word mentioned about it. Its gotta be good! Also always been intrigued by Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua. Gonna have to do some research on it, as I need a new foundation for the approaching colder months :)

  10. i love vitalumiere aqua, i'm almost out of mine and i'm already panicking.. also i'd love to try that victoria's secret fragrance mist, i got one in 'such a flirt' and one in 'pear glace' but i'm already getting kinda bored of them after 2 years sticking to these scents only! i use them all the time to spritz my linen before bed too and i can't imagine myself going to bed without being surrounded by some fresh and light perfume

  14. I'm also a huge fan of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.
My skin always feel so fresh and clean when I wake up after using this stuff.
I have recently run out of my first bottle though so I am saving up for my next (so pricey!!)
