Shine Bright Like A Diamond

15 August 2013

Excuse the ever so cringey title, but I love a bit of Rihanna every now and then, and it seemed pretty apt for this product. As I was going through my blogging folder earlier, I noticed that I hadn't posted a review of this Diamond Powder, which I initially featured in my France haul back in February. Usually for a product to make its way on to my blog, I have to absolutely love it. Don't get me wrong, I like this powder, but prepare for a so-so review...

When I initially got in to youtubing I was lusting after this powder for so long. I saw this featured in a Pixiwoo video, and became convinced that I needed it. When I finally tracked it down in Sephora I was over the moon, and purchased it straight away. This is a gorgeous product. It's perfect for the festive season (is it too early to mention that?), and when packed on top of a primer or cream eyeshadow looks absolutely beautiful, and avoids appearing like juvenile 'body glitter' etc. For saying how finely milled this powder is, it didn't shift around or transfer too badly. The colour is lovely too - a really light, almost white shade of silver.

However, sadly I don't use this product enough to justify having bought it in the first place. From now on, I'm pledging to be much thriftier with my pennies, and only buying products which I'll use frequently. As much as I want to give this a rave review - and let me just reiterate that as a product, it is great - I can't help but wish I had more opportunities to wear it. I guess I'll just have to make sure I'm invited to plenty of parties this winter!

  3. I really want to try the MUFE powders, for my make up looks and the like! This one is so pretty! But I can definitely see what you are saying about not using it, I have so much make up I don't use either, which usually ends up going in a blog sale for someone else to enjoy :(

  6. I loved the title! And MUFE glitters are amazing. I agree that I splurged a lot and don't use them often enough but well, some of them are so gorgeous! xx

  7. I also heard this a lot from Pixiwoo but the only reason I haven't bought it yet is because I'm not sure it would wear it often enough to justify the splurge.. and that hurts my heart so much cause seeing the swatches my legs crumble of how beautiful it is!
