Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion - £30.00 (sample sized*)
Warning: Overindulgent product alert. I just felt like I needed to get that little disclaimer out there. I am in no way stating that you need a £30.00 body moisturiser in your life, my limbs were cruising along fine with my £3.50 Palmers cocoa butter. However, after the assistant at the Clarins counter gave me a couple of sample tubes of this lotion I thought it'd be rude not to give it ago, and of course I fell head over heels.
Initially when I used this lotion, I wasn't blown away. I noticed a fairly pleasant tingling sensation - which since researching the product more, I've put down to the tightening ingredients in this moisturiser, and which hasn't disappeared with routine use - and that the product absorbed quickly in to my skin. However, it was when I was absent-mindedly sat at my desk later that day that I was really impressed. My annoyingly dry, wrinkled elbows felt baby soft and smooth. I quickly proclaimed to my colleagues that this was the best body lotion I'd ever used, and I still stand by that now.
This is a light, non-greasy lotion which sinks straight in to the skin. It feels incredibly moisturising, and smells like you're walking through a beautiful garden in summer time - what's not to love? I can't say much for the tightening/firming aspect yet - I'm twenty two, so hope I won't have to worry about that for a few years yet, however I'll be applying this daily throughout winter, and when my tubes run out, my bank account will inevitably weep as I repurchase - although budget friendly recommendations would be really appreciated.
Oh gosh, even though it sounds amazing I couldn't justify the price since I barely even moisturise at all! During the winter though, I tend to go for oils. I love the Caudalie Divine Oil. Sorry it's not a bargain recommendation, though! xx
