Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach

18 August 2013

Bobbi Brown is a brand that I really don't have much experience with. There are no local counters to me, and I only actually own one other product of theirs - the gel eyeliner - which my mum had bought me for Christmas. However, I do have a real issue with the under eye area of my right eye (I have what appears to be permanent bruising), so for a while I'd been considering trying this. Whilst in Sephora in Las Vegas, I asked an assistant to match me to the correct shade, and ended up leaving with this in my shopping bag.

The colour corrector is one of those cult products which a lot of bloggers love. For that reason, I was a little dubious - sometimes when products are as hyped up as this, they can't live up to expectations. I was expecting this concealer to leave my under eye looking completely flawless, so initially I was a little disappointed. Whilst this does have excellent coverage - it's definitely the 'thickest' concealer I've tried - it seemed to settle in any creases or fine lines around the eye area. However, I've found that topping this up with some form of brightening concealer and setting this with powder leaves my under eye area looking bright and alert.

I thought that this concealer would have quite a creamy texture, but it's actually a lot thicker than I expected. That's a bit of a bonus though, as it means you only need the tiniest bit, so this pot will last a long time. I like that Bobbi Brown have such a wide shade range, so everyone will be able to find a corrector to match their skin tone. Has this solved all of my under eye problems though? Well, yes and no. It's a fantastic product which gets the job done, but it's so heavy that I'm put off wearing it on a daily basis. I have a feeling that this will grow on me though...there was a time that I slated Sheer Glow as being too heavy and full coverage for me, and I now reach for it regularly.

If you're conscious of your under eye area and shy away from sheerer finishes, give this product a go - you won't be disappointed!

  1. My favourite concealer but currently I am using Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer as my everday product. I love both of these.

  2. I've never tried anything from bobbi brown! I really want to get my hands on one of her shimmer bricks. My go-to for under eye concealing lately has been the bare minerals well rested!

  5. If you like thicker concealers you should try Benefit erase paste. It works just like this corrector but brightens up your under eye and lasts forever. Great post btw!

  9. I'm currently using the MAC Pro Longwear concealer under my eyes but I've always been intrigued by this Bobbi Brown Corrector. Bobbi Brown products aren't readily available where I live though so it's hard for me to find the right products.

  10. I just got a bobbi brown creamy concealer kit and I'm also a bit not 100% sure of how much it's worth the hype.. hell yes, they're extremely pigmented but so many other things in the market are..
Thanks for the review, it sure helped me notice some things I haven't about mine :)

  11. I've gone through a pan of this and absolutely love it for correcting my undereye circles. I, too, found it a little thick initially but that worked out great in the long run. A pot can last a good while even with daily use!
