The Repurchases #1

21 May 2013

My heart is filled with equal amounts of terror (for my credit card) and joy at the site of one of these little black bags. Whilst visiting a friend in Harrogate recently, I decided to play it safe and treat myself to a couple of old favourites in Space NK.

The two items which I actually purchased in store were the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm and Talika Lash Conditioning Cleanser. Neither is a particular glamorous purchase, but I love both, and reach for them frequently. The cleanser has been raved about enough for most of you to get the gist, but basically it smells delicious, and leaves my skin feeling like a dream. This is my third tub of the stuff, and although it's pricey, it lasts me for a good three months.

The Talika Lash Conditioning Cleanser is my favourite eye makeup remover, and it's my go to for waterproof mascara. It's a blue thin gel, and you really only need the smallest pump to remove stubborn eye makeup. It leaves my lashes feeling lovely and soft afterwards, and their condition has definitely improved since I've been using this. My last tube of this lasted me for nine months, so it works out as value for money.

I've been a little slack on the tanning front recently, so I repurchased my favourite tanning gel, Xen Tan Dark Lotion, online so that I can be nice and bronzed for Vegas. This works a treat - I'm a tanning n00b and I can manage to apply it streak free. I'm fairly pale, but I apply this lightly and it's not too dark, so fair skinned girls, don't be afraid. I love the formula of this, and would definitely recommend it.

The last product - the Naked Basics Palette - is technically a repurchase, as I bought it for my sister's birthday and was so impressed that I had to get it for myself. The shadows are buttery smooth, and the shades are perfect for me - they're pretty much the only colours I wear. This is such a handy sized palette, and it'll definitely be making its way in to my suitcase.

What are the products you always repurchase? Have you tried any of these?

  7. Ooo I've been looking out for an effective waterproof makeup remover, that one sounds brilliant! 9 months is amazing, I normally get through a bottle in like 2/3. I absolutely love XenTan as well - you should deff try Morrocan Tan too! Smells like coconut and holidays!

  11. I SO need to try the EH Cleansing Balm. Every paycheque I tell myself I will buy it, but then can't justify the price tag. I will stick with my Lush one for now. I've done some repurchases lately too! Trevor Sorbie Curl Cream (stocking up before I move back to Canada and can't get it anymore!)

  14. Ha, I know exactly what you mean about those bags, I get so excited because Space NK has the most luxurious products, but let's face it, they are extremely pricey!
I have put off trying the EH balm for so long now, as I refuse to buy into hypes for the most part now - every time I have done in the past, I have been disappointed! But I think I'm going to try it next time I run out of cleanser as I've been having some problems with breakouts that won't clear up and have heard this is really good for problem skin.
Hope you're well lovely - let me know if you want to do that swap at the end of July as I'm coming back home and will bring a stash of Brazilian goodies :)
