Snow White Nails

17 April 2013

When I read that I'd been paired with someone from Australia for my recent Easter beauty swap, I got a little bit excited. I'd lusted after the Essence Snow White nail polishes ever since seeing this post on Sleep and Water, and being the Disney fan that I am, they were top of my wish list. The lovely Jasmine managed to track down the shade Sleepy for me, so here are my thoughts.

As well as being the cutest dwarf, Sleepy is the perfect name for this shade. It's a really pretty, comforting shade of blue, which reminds me of naps under a cloudless sky. It has a very subtle shimmer running through it, but this doesn't really translate on my nails - it's just enough to make sure that the colour doesn't look 'flat'.

I find that two to three coats is plenty, and although it's slightly gloopier in formula than I'm used to, it applied without streaks, and has lasted throughout the week with minor chipping. I've been rotating this and Bossy Boots (post here), and although I'm more of a neutral nail girl usually, both colours have been very easy to wear.

Sleepy is a beautiful nail polish, which I love as much for the novelty of it as I do for how it looks on my nails. It's my favourite shade of Spring so far, and if you have access to Essence products, I'd definitely recommend picking up something from the Snow White collection - thank you Jasmine!
