Getting Tipsy

8 April 2013

This blush doesn't really need any introductions. Tarte products are lusted after by beauty lovers from across the globe, and especially here in the UK, where they're almost impossible to come by (eBay is probably your best option). The lovely Jess sent me Tipsy as part of our beauty swap earlier this year, and I'm pretty sure I heard angels singing as I opened the packaging - alright, that's not strictly true.

First things first, this blush is bright. Tipsy is an incredibly pigmented, coral coloured, powder blush. Applied with a very light handle this will give a gentle flush of colour, which has a real brightening effect. It's a completely flat matte shade, with no hint of a sparkle.

This blush claims to last for twelve hours, and whilst it is pretty long lasting due to being so matte, it's difficult for me to really test its durability as I don't wear my makeup for that long. What I will say, however, is that it was a bit of an effort to shift a swatch I took, and it definitely stays intact throughout the working day.

Tipsy is a shade which I'll definitely get a lot more wear out of in the summer. It's not necessarily a colour I'd choose again, but I'm sold on the formula. I have my eye on Dollface and Exposed for my Vegas wishlist!

  1. I'd love to do a beauty swap with a US blogger, they have so many amazing beauty products which I have never tried before!

I love the colour of Tipsy, I really like coral and peach toned blushes as for me they're a lot more wearable than Pinks!

  2. I've heard so much about this shade and Tarte blushes in general - it seems like a really bright, summery shade :) I only have the Exposed shade which I don't wear as much as I thought I would - it was practically the first thing I bought when I stepped foot in the US on my holiday last September because of all the hype I read surrounding it! :p

  5. I am so jealous of people in the USA, the have a lot more, cheaper products than me do. My parents just came back from Washington but failed to get me anything from my wishlist, a beauty swap seems like such a great idea!
