My Comfort Zone

12 March 2013

I've got a little bit of a confession to make. I'm not really an eyeshadow kind of gal. I don't tend to bother with anything more than a quick slick of mascara in the eye area, but after seeing Wet N Wild palettes featured in many a North American bloggers favourites, I had to give this palette a go. Jess kindly sent me this as part of our swap, and it was love at first swatch.

I'm just gonna put this out there - these are the nicest eye shadows I have ever used. They easily beat my Chanel and MAC offerings, and they blow MUA out of the water. These are so silky and smooth to apply, and ridiculously pigmented.  Plus, how beautiful are those colours!

The left hand side shadows are fast becoming my go to eye look. I'm no makeup artist, but these colours are so easy to put together (hint: they're labelled as to where to apply them), and blend like a dream. Being blue eyed, the green on the right hand side is the only shade which doesn't really work for me, but those browns really make my eyes pop. I recently attempted a smokey eye with the three darkest shades in this palette, and I have to say, I was pretty pleased with myself.

Have you tried any Wet N Wild palettes? Now that I've dipped my toes in the eyeshadow pond, what should I try next?

  3. I really want to try this palette. The colour in the bottom right is supposed to be similar to a Too Faced e/s in Petals to the metal x

  10. I love Wet N' Wild shadows! They offer great dupes to more expensive high end brands and the quality is extraordinary! (Their Brule eyeshadow puts MAC's to shame). I believe I sent the same palette to Dommie in our swap, haha!x
