All products via Jess - The Lily White English Rose
Last month, I published this post, expressing my desire to test out some products from over the other side of the pond. I had a couple of responses, and set up swaps with Jess, Jem and Michelle. It might seem a little excessive to take part in multiple swaps, but there were so many products I wanted to try. Plus, each girl recommended different products and price ranges, so each swap felt equally exciting. I ended up asking all three girls for two of the products (creamsicle lip butter and infinite fuschia aqua lacquer), because I'd seen so many posts on these that I knew I'd need back ups and spares for my handbag!
Jess' parcel was the first to arrive, and she really went above and beyond. Everything was beautifully wrapped, and came with a lovely card. I'd specified that I wanted to try a pocketbac from Bath & Body Works, and received not one, but five delicious scents! Amongst other products, I also received CoverGirl lipsticks, and the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette. You may also notice peeking in there a Tarte blush - I can not explain in words how excited I am about this - and a copy of Allure magazine, which I now need to subscribe to.
Swapping with Jess (and equally Jem and Michelle - expect posts on those goodies soon) was a really fantastic experience. It felt so good to speak to other girls who get as excited about beauty and cosmetics as I do, and not only did I also discover their fantastic blogs as a result, I made some great friends, who I'm hoping to stay in contact with. I'd definitely recommend taking part in a swap if you can - Jess and I are already discussing our second one :).
If you'd like to see the products I sent over to Jess, check out her post here. If you're a blogger from anywhere in the world that's not the UK and would like to take part in a swap, drop me a comment/email!

I'd love to do a swap. They get way better shade ranges of everything in the U.S, don't really understand why.
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm in Brazil until the summer so if you fancy trying out some Brazilian beauty bits then let me know, I can't get most of the things I use from back home over here so it could work out quite well :)
