Monday Weigh-In: Week 0

18 June 2012

I'm scheduling this for tomorrow so hopefully it will post. This isn't the sort of thing I'd normally write about but recently I've been feeling really down about my weight. Over the last eighteen months I've put on three and a half stone and I really want to lose it. I know its loads of weight to lose so I thought I'd do it a stone at a time and have a weekly weigh in on here. That way I'm holding myself accountable to something - its sort of like the busy girls weightwatchers I guess? haha.

Anyway, I hope this doesn't put anyone off reading my blog, and I'd love to hear any healthy living/exercise tips you have. As an incentive to myself, every week that the numbers go down on the scale I'll buy myself a beauty treat, so that way I'll (hopefully) get something new every week to try out and give my opinion of!

  3. Good luck! My advice would be to take it slowly to start with. You can always get stricter from there, but if you start off super strict, you're more likely to give up. Try to eat healthy alternatives to things (even if it's just switching from normal crisps to the baked one which are healthier). And avoid sugar!! Not obsessively, but definitely keep a look out for it in your foods as they sneak it in the strangest places. Anyway, that's just my experience with weight loss, and tips I would give. Good luck!

    1. Thank you! It was uni that triggered my gain :( I'm hopefully just going to cut the crap out of my diet and try and exercise too as at the minute I do nothing! X

  7. good luck! losing weight, getting fit and healthy takes more mental strength than physical i think. It's easy to say "screw it" than kicking yourself in the butt. but with discipline, anyone can do it! just stick to your goals and you can do it :) be sure to take progress shots as well!
